Based on that principle of identifying specific sounds, Hyundai and Kia Motors Namyang R&D Center has nearly perfected an AI-powered fault detection and diagnosis system. Finishing touches are being put on the AI system, with plans to deploy it into the frontlines of automobile service.
Top minds from Hyundai motor group are working on a powertrain fault detection and diagnosis technology which was reported to work with approximately 88%. The team aims to report 90% accuracy soon.

ŠKODA dwelves deep into Artificial intelligence to harness vehicle diagnosis.
The ŠKODA AUTO After Sales department and ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab are trialling a new smartphone app: “Sound Analyser” to record car noises and compares them with stored sound patterns.
The smartphone app has been trialled in 14 countries – including Germany, Russia, Austria and France – since June 2019. A total of 245 ŠKODA dealers have been taking part in the pilot project as per their October 2020 press release. Source & Full Blog:
